This fine red brick cotton spinning mill was built in 1883 and was an excellent example but has now been demolished. The mill beyond to the right is from 1906 and is typical of the later period with much larger windows. That was Durban Mill and it too has been demolished. It grieves me to see so many fine buildings been lost. This was the first real workout for my new digital camera and I decided to spend a Sunday in Oldham. I'm so glad that I did.
