This is the Chalk Lane ground of Cockfosters FC, who were founded in 1921. The first team currently (2007-08) compete in the Spartan South Midlands League (Premier Division). This season was the first time in their 86 year history that the club qualified as one of the 731 teams to enter the FA Cup. They beat Southend Manor FC 3-2 in the Extra Preliminary Round, but disappointingly went out in the Preliminary Round to Welwyn Garden City FC 0-1 at home after drawing 1-1 away. The Club's website is here http://www.cockfostersfc.net/CockfostersFC.new/index.htm
