One of several milestones of this style in the area south of the new town of Livingston, development began in the 1960s. The stones would have been on the routes of old Calder District tollroads. No sign of an inscription so the legend must have been painted on. Mid Calder 3/Carnwath 12 on the 1893 OS 2nd Edition.
