The cycle path, which connects Bridgend to a fairly new residential suburb, is seen descending as it nears the centre of the town. The stretch seen is also a part of a public footpath which runs along the boundary of an area of ancient woodland on the opposite (west) side of the River Ogmore from Newbridge Fields.
