Much named way to Dent

For those who like their rights of way to have titles, you can't beat the route on this bridleway to Dent, which is the "Dales High Way", the "Craven Way" and "A Pennine Journey". Yeah, we were going to Dent (from where we'd set out some hours earlier on the hillsides to the left of this photo) but we preferred the nameless (ill-defined and rather boggy) public footpath heading northeast from the stile over the wall to the right, as that would visit more grid squares than the direct return. The weather had gone downhill a bit, so we were glad we chosen an anti-clockwise circuit of our route, gaining all the good views whilst the sun shone, but this last section did at least give a better perspective of the floor of Dentdale itself, looking very green in early autumn.
