Looking north towards Victoria Street and the city centre, from near the junction with Temple Street (off to the right). On the left is a new mural, sprayed on the boarding of a derelict shop premises in September 2020 by Joe Miles. That is not a South American revolutionary leader celebrating a successful coup; it is Nuno Espirito Santo, a former Portuguese goalkeeper reacting to another goal scored by Wolverhampton Wanderers football team. Nuno, as head coach of the team since May 2017, is credited with instilling them with confidence and durability, resulting in promotion to the Premiership, then further strong results, finishing 7th in the next two seasons.
