The tall white building beside the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal used to be a Cadbury's factory. The factory opened in 1916. It used ground cocoa beans and sugar and blended with milk collected from local farms. This produced chocolate crumb which was taken by boat to Bournville for final processing. The Cadbury works closed in 1983. The site is now occupied by a number of businesses.
