The jettied, gable-ended building seen here facing onto Bradford Street dates from the 16th century, with an added 17th century house to its rear. Collectively they attracted a Grade II listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101053661-number-16-and-the-cottage-shifnal#.X1Ff03lKjIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1053661 in 1984.
