South Littleton Manor is an impressive house. In 1681 the house was leased by the 4th Earl of Coventry to his land agent Francis Taylor. Between 1685 and 1721 Taylor carried out major building work on the house. The house which is located opposite the church is Grade II* listed, see: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1081265
