This door in the south wall of the nave of St. Leonards, Grendon Underwood has a rather unusual lantern and bracket above it. The lantern itself is nothing out of the ordinary, but the bracket looks as though it could hold something of much more dramatic proportions - I wonder if it originally did, though anything much deeper would have dangled at an alarmingly head-banging height !
