Road junction with mysterious sign

Road junction on high ground east of Llanfyrnach. The sign refers to the stretch of road running left/east at this T-junction for just over a kilometre, and is matched by a similar sign at the next junction. Why this minor road, passing only through empty farmland, should have merited special attention is mystery. Update: the sign seems to be connected to a community renewable energy project in this area (Cwm Arian/Silver valley) which has attracted funding/plans to locate a wind turbine nearby.
