The renewed railway is used by trains bringing landfill to the disused Barrington chalk quarry. More than fifty years after the last main-line steam trains ran in the United Kingdom a stylised steam locomotive still appears on road signs at level crossings. Nigel Cox took Image] in 2008, three years after rail traffic to Barrington Cement works had ceased.
