The old Fire Station on Gordon Road dates from 1907, and was built in a Baroque style (the associated offices just to the left as considered to be Vernacular Revival.) The words in the 1990 Grade II listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101034403-the-fire-station-harborne-ward#.XxBgbihKjcs & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1034403 describe it as "a fine example of an Edwardian fire station, clearly influenced by the contemporary work of the London County Council." It's fairly recently been converted to apartments.
