The building was constructed in 1878 for the long gone County of Gloucester Bank Limited. It still retains its original name inscribed on the stonework, although it was taken over by Lloyds Bank in 1897. It remains a bank today, being a branch of TSB. Update: TSB closed this branch on the 10th May 2021. Image
