This Scottish broadsword is a memorial to all those Scots who died at the Battle of Flodden in 1513. It was one of the bloodies battles in Scottish history. The English army defeated the Scots when 10,000 were killed. Every August nowadays, Coldstream holds its Flodden Day to remember them. This memorial is situated at Tweed Green beside the River Tweed.
