The beck's natural course has already been altered, and the other side of the bridge from which this was taken it goes into a culvert under the industrial areas of South Leeds from which it only emerges (as the Hol Beck) alongside Water Lane some 3km downstream. Peak flows are attenuated by Farnley balancing reservoir 3km upstream of here.
