Valley of the River Bourne (or Shode) east of Dunk's Green

The course of the river is marked by the trees on the right. Rising near Ightham, it is a short tributary of the Medway which it joins near East Peckham. It once helped power several mills of various kinds including the nearby Roughway Paper Mill which survived until the second half of the C20.
