On Monday 23 March 2020 all non-essential shops were closed by law, and people were instructed to stay at home because of the coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic. The recently refurbished Mander Centre does allow access to a few stores which sell food, and Boots (pharmacy only) but the centre is almost deserted apart from occasional security staff. Image taken at lunchtime on a sunny warm weekday, looking south.
