The residents only enjoy this dog meadow surrounded by a variety of trees, mainly deciduous. Some of the most mature, very well-hydrated (not choked by hardstanding) trees in the land less than a couple of miles north of the Thames east of Staines are among those mentioned. This is helped as the soil is somewhat gravelly over clay but has a deep (humus) topsoil.
