This is one two memorial plinths to New Zealand soldiers at the entrance to St Mary's Church graveyard at Walton-on-Thames. During the First World War Over 27,000 New Zealanders were cared for at Mount Felix. The people of Walton took the young soldiers into their homes and their hearts. Not all survived and this is one of many memorials in the town. For a wider view see https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6460194
