Viewed on April 29th 2020. Caversham Finance Limited (trading as BrightHouse) was the largest rent-to-own company in the UK with more than 270 stores. On March 30th 2020 Grant Thornton was appointed as administrators after the collapse of BrightHouse. The company had been struggling after many compensation claims for selling to people who could not repay. Its shops were then closed because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic lockdown restrictions on retailers.
