I remember the 60s when this was a crossroads with a permanent tailback. We often went to my grandparents in Highgate and usually had to wait here for a while just before we turned left to get home. Hendon Greyhound Stadium was on the right with neon signs of huge racing greyhounds in rainbow colours.
