Nearest to camera is Midnight Farm followed by New Sheepfold Farm. The houses at the far side of the valley are the former railmen's houses at the bottom of the Ingleby Incline. There were also railmen's houses at the top of the incline known as 'Siberia' because of the harsh conditions up there.
