This is a little shop with a long history, described in an article by Mark Clements in Issue 2 of the Brighouse & District Heritage Newseum, published by Chris Helme. It had been many different kinds of shop before settling down as a barber's. The author used to have his hair cut there, but then the building was put up for sale by auction and threatened with demolition for redevelopment, so he bought it to save it.
