The first week of the Easter holidays would usually be very busy in Bournemouth, especially on such a gloriously sunny day. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic of 2020, people are restricted to essential journeys only, i.e. shopping for essentials, medical, commuting if work cannot be done from home, and one period of exercise per day. The purpose is to slow the spread of the virus and people are asked to remain 2 metres apart while out. This car park is one of many in popular spots around the country to have been closed by local authorities, to discourage social gatherings as much as possible.
