I joined the organization in 1999 and worked in the enquiry office at Chesterfield, followed by the divisional control room at Chesterfield.
I worked as a PC on the old "A" division at Alfreton police station, then transferred to "C" division on Chesterfield section working unform response for many years.
I enjoyed 3 years as a safer neighbourhood PC at Grangewood SNT. These have been 3 of the happiest years of my career so far. I was then promoted to Sgt at Ripley followed by North East Derbyshire where I worked as part of the uniform response units.
I was then part of the team that carried out a review of neighbourhood policing in Derbyshire and helped shape the future of its delivery up to present date.
I am proud to be part of Derbyshire constabulary and serve the public of the county. My father and Uncle were police officers in Derbyshire for 30 years and they were my inspiration for becoming a police officer myself.

I am honoured to be the Inspector for North East Derbyshire and Bolsover currently. I have come into this role with over 15 years of front-line policing experience across two force areas.
I have a long-term affinity with the area having previously been a constable and sergeant here and have built an understanding of the various communities across the area. Prior to coming back here as Inspector I have been a leader in the force around neighbourhood policing, innovation, problem-oriented policing and partnership work.
My neighbourhood teams have clear direction around what is expected from them in relation to engagement and enforcement from quarterly review of neighbourhood priorities. These priorities are chosen through various engagement activities including https://www.derbyshirealert.co.uk/. If you would like to complete a Derbyshire Talking survey at this site to assist us, it would be greatly appreciated.
Clear standards and expectations are set for my team, so you can have confidence that I hold my team to account in delivering the Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee.
When I am not at work, I enjoy walks around the Peak District with my family and dog.

I have been serving and policing the communities of Derbyshire for over 15 years.
Starting as a Special Constable at Derby East before joining the regulars, I have policed Long Eaton, Peartree and Derby North areas south of the county. Following this I joined the operations division and spent 7 years as a Dog Handler before being promoted back to response policing at Derbyshire Dales for the last 3 years.
This is my first SNT supervision role and I am extremely excited to be leading the teams at Killamarsh, Eckington, Dronfield, Unstone, Whitwell, Clowne and Barlborough. I look forward to driving my team to tackle the type of criminality that is having a real impact on local communities but to also provide support for the most vulnerable, making those communities a safer place to live.
I am keen to strengthen and bolster the work we currently undertake with our partner agencies to utilise a partnership approach, giving us the best opportunity to resolve the issues that matter to you the most.
When I am not at work I enjoy spending quality time with my family, cooking, playing guitar, playing 5 a side and following Derby County Football Club!
