A notice in the nearby surgery stated that this verge will no longer be maintained for health and safety reasons. It will be interesting to see how the vegetation evolves. So far there are long coarse grass, docks, goose grass, ivy, nettles, dandelions, sow thistles, field speedwell and (best of all) jack-in-the-hedge (garlick mustard)..
