Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of ST AUSTELL (RESTORMEL District), Higher Porthpean, Beach Road, by T-junction, near hospital, on East side of road. Erected by a private estate in the early 19th century. Inscription reads:- : PENRICE / 1 MILE : : ST / AUSTLE / 1¾ : Carved benchmarks on both side faces with one rivet on top. Grade II listed.
