This is a real Free House in the Broadway, not a sham "free house". These days many that claim to be free from a brewery are very strictly tied to a pub company's restricted product list. "The Traitors" may not look all that inviting from outside, but you will not do better round here for real ale or cider or craft keg. They also pride themselves for giving new bands a chance to demonstrate their virtuosity.
