The 1:1250 map shows the village hall occupying the small section to the left of the fence, of this Victorian building at the northeast edge of the village, and names the rest "School House". There is also Image near the church. Which one is/was the Laurence Panting Church of England School, I wonder? This was certainly a school in 1920, as http://www.search.staffspasttrack.org.uk/engine/resource/default.asp?resource=2537 shows.
