School roll (2019-20): 22, taught in two composite classes. The road in front was formerly the extremely busy and dangerous A90 main road from Aberdeen to Ellon and points northwards, but has now been bypassed. The school has received a life-saving boost from the adjacent new housing (just visible to the right) in what was previously a hamlet.
