A 'milestone' in cast iron from the 19th or 20th centuries stands here by the B5404, the former A5 road, in Lichfield Street, Fazeley. This is also the route of the Roman road of Watling Street, a route to North Wales. It reads FAZELEY - ATHERSTONE 7 (miles) - LICHFIELD 8 (miles). Time photo taken 2.04 pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
