The pond is in the Ecology Centre garden. A notice about SuDS Sustainable Drainage Scheme includes "A pond has been created in the Ecology Centre garden, using water from the channel. The pond will be deeper in wet seasons and shallow or even dry out when the weather is dry." The photo was taken after a very wet February, there had been more rail in the night. With its hard surface and drainage channels the path dries quickly, but the water is conserved and soaks into the ground in the park. Other untreated paths in the park were wet and muddy at this time.
