This building was built in 1859 as a Particular Baptist Academy, which was previously at Little Horton, Bradford. Here new ministers were trained. The college became affiliated to the University of Leeds in 1904, and when the college merged with the Baptist Manchester College and vacated the building, which became a university hall of residence for a while before being sold for conversion to apartments.
