Challow Station post electrification

Challow Station used to be here until the mid 1960s. This picture is at the same location as Image which shows the railway before electrification work started, and Image where the posts are starting to go up. The work is now finished and electric trains have been running along here for some time. I do wonder why the metalwork is so massive on this line compared to other routes elsewhere.
