Turning our back on the Woolpack we see these old cottages at Mount Pleasant. A gentleman I spoke to at that spot told me they were some of the oldest buildings in Beckington "older than the pub, and the church" he looked as if he should know. He also said the Woolpack was very popular with the locals and Mr.Matthews produced some fine ale and food.
