Now a Wetherspoon's pub on Westborough close to the railway station, this building was opened in 1895 as the Liberal Club by Lord Rosebery, a former prime minister. In 1947 it was acquired by the Scarborough Industrial Cooperative Society and transformed into a walk-round store in 1958.
