Community Priority for Farley Drug Dealing/ Serious Youth Violence and Gangs

Drug Dealing/ Serious Youth Violence and Gangs has been identified as the community priority for the next quarter, this has been identified from the Have Your Say Survey Results.

The team have actively been patrolling in the local area ensuring they are completing their engagements and taskings. Parade bakery has been a key location for our team often setting up engagement workshops engaging with the members of public and our businesses offering a high visibility approach and crime prevention advice.

There have been several incidents of note where proactive policing has led to several arrests and stop searches.

Police have had a pursuit with a vehicle which was never located however, due to information received we were able to identify the vehicle. This led to locating the vehicle and subsequently seizing the vehicle. The vehicle transpired to be a stolen vehicle and within there was a substantial amount of drugs and knife recovered.

Two positive stop searches of key nominals known for drug dealing and gang affiliation. This led to one of the subjects being summonsed to court and the other arrested in custody for unrelated matters.

Officers were able to identify a key suspect who was outstanding wanted for burglary, theft of motor vehicle and theft from motor vehicle. Subject was identified wanted on several crime reports within Bedfordshire. Due to proactive policing, we were able to successfully arrest the subject for the offences.

Several Illegal Vapes were seized from three locations where the investigation is being lead by Trading Standards.

27/10/25 - Speed Watch completed on Farley Hill
27/10/25 - Officers have identified a vehicle involved in Drug Supply and was travelling cross borders. Vehicle was stopped and a male has been arrested for Possession with intent to supply, driving otherwise in accordance with a license and no insurance. Drugs/Cash and vehicle was seized.

28/10/25 - PCSO 7028 attended The Big Draw engagement at Stockwood Park

29/10/25 - South and East Community Team have executed a S23 MDA warrant and located a cannabis factory which was dismantled and property secured

The team have actively been patrolling in the local area ensuring they are completing their engagements and taskings. Officers have attended Raynham Way Community Centre and Costa Coffee – giving out crime prevention advice and speaking to members of public speaking to Councillors.
Raynham Way Community Centre Craft Fair & Coffee Morning is one of our key locations where we listen to your concerns.

Officers have noted the issues and priorities and high visibility patrols are being conducted to tackle ASB and provide disruption. This has included gathering intelligence for active drugs lines, cannabis factories and storage of e-scooters and bikes.

We are aware of on going issues with e-bikes / Off-Road Bikes an ongoing operation is being conducted to tackle this under Operation Multigrain. We have days of action lined up to tackle the issue and this will be reviewed in due course.

18/11/25 - Operation Banked and Environmental Action Day on St Thomas' Road completed in partnership with Luton Borough Council, during which a large quantity of class A drugs were located inside a vehicle. Vehicle and drugs both seized. A firearm was located in another vehicle, firearm and vehicle both seized.

19/11/25 - PCSO 7008 attended engagements at Greggs and Iceland

21/11/25 - The South & East Neighbourhood Team joined with Herts Neighbourhood Team for Hitchin and Op Meteor officers on motorbikes to complete Operation Multigrain, targeting cross border criminality and vehicle crime through the use of ANPR cameras. During this operation, a vehicle was stopped by officers on Ashcroft Road, and the driver was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, namely Cocaine.

The team have actively been patrolling in the local area ensuring they are completing their engagements and taskings. Officers have attended H&H Café, and Silvjana's Café giving out crime prevention advice and speaking to members of public and speaking to Councillors.
H&H Café is one of our key locations where we listen to your concerns.

Officers have noted the issues and priorities and high visibility patrols are being conducted to tackle ASB and provide disruption. This has included working with housing to get problematic addresses shut down, as well as safeguarding vulnerable people in the community.

We are aware of on going issues with e-bikes / Off-Road Bikes an ongoing operation is being conducted to tackle this under Operation Multigrain integrated with other bordering wards. We have days of action lined up to tackle the issue and this will be reviewed in due course.

Officers have conducted Operation Varenna targeting begging on Castle Street, and Operation Belleville targeting theft in the area. This has included giving out crime prevention advice, speaking to members of the public and councillors.

Alongside our plain clothes officers we had officers in marked vehicles available to proactively deal with drug dealing in the areas. Officers have identified a vehicle involved in Drug Supply and was travelling cross borders. Vehicle was stopped and a male has been arrested for Possession with intent to supply, driving otherwise in accordance with a license and no insurance. Drugs/Cash and vehicle was seized.

07/11/25 - Male arrested on Downs Road for rape, false imprisonment and ABH in relation to ongoing investigation

08/11/25 - Car stopped and seized for no insurance on Alton Road

13/11/25 - Section 8 Misuse of Drugs Act warning letter issued in Unity House, Stuart Street, Luton

20/11/25 - S8 PACE Warrant executed at an address on Kingsland Road, Luton. One report created for possession of cannabis, possession of cocaine and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place

25/01/2026 - Operation Scoot completed in relation to the illegal use of escooters and ebikes. Total of 45 seizures and traffic reports completed.

16/01/2026 - Operation Banked completed in partnership with Town Centre Community Team. Multiple vehicles stopped and searched, intelligence reports submitted and drugs investigations generated.

DECEMBER -

27/12/25 - Officers located a cannabis factory on Richmond Hill following proactive enquiries in the area. 126 plants located and one male arrested for cultivation of cannabis

23/12/25 - Attended H&H Café for an engagement

22/12/25 - Day of Action completed targeting anti-social behaviour hotspots. Intelligence submitted in relation to drug dealing.

13/12/25 - There was information received about a location believed to be used as a brothel. A S.8 PACE warrant was applied for and granted. South Yorkshire Police executed a separate warrant for the same location. As a result a cannabis factory was found where S&E community team took ownership and dealt

VEHICLE NUISANCE, ASB and DRUGS has been identified as the community priorities for the next quarter for Vauxhall, Round Green and Hart Hill wards, this has been identified from the Lets Talk Forum.

VISIBLE POLICING, SPEEDING and ASB will be the priority for the next 3 months.
