Cast iron post by the A51, in parish of CLOTTON HOOFIELD (CHESTER District), Yewtree Farm, in hedge, on South side of road. Cast iron CCC1898, erected by the County Council in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : TARVIN / 2½ MILES / CHESTER 8 : : CHESHIRE / 1898 / COUNTY COUNCIL : : TARPORLEY / 2⅝ MILES / NANTWICH 12¼ : Maker:- : W H SMITH & CO / MAKER / WHITCHURCH : Milestone Society National ID: CH_CHNW08.
