Aston on Clun - The Arbor Tree

The centre of the village is dominated by the Arbor Tree which is decorated in colourful flags. This tradition has gone on for many hundreds of years and the tree is decorated to commemorate local events. The tree is a rare black poplar and the one which stands today was planted in 1995 and was cloned from the previous tree that was destroyed in a gale.
