Looking north from the north end of platform 1, towards Stansted Airport and Cambridge, with the bridge carrying Hockerill Street across the railway visible ahead. A new "12 Car stop" sign has been installed (left) for the new class 745 electric units for the Stansted Express service; the covered signs are presumably equivalents for the new class 720 electric units that will eventually take over the Cambridge services.
