15 and 17 (left) is the former Coffee House and Reading Room. It was established by Mr Melville, Mr Abel-Smith and the Vicar. Villagers, in addition to reading, could play billiards, darts, draughts and dominoes but not ping pong. 25 and 23 has its gable end to the street and 29 is a late 18th century cottage and former shop that is Grade II Listed.
