The Mansion

Large house on Church Street, built in 1739 as a rebuild of an earlier building. For a time in the 19th Century it housed a school. In 1949 it was purchased by Leatherhead Urban District council on behalf of Surrey County Council and has served in various public roles, including the town library (now in a wing of the building), a health clinic, an employment and careers office and the local registry office.
