I was thinking that perhaps there was an opening onto Higher Edginswell Lane from this cul-de-sac. There wasn't, unless the car park marked private where the caravan can be seen, offers something. A lady wondered if I was looking for someone; rather than get involved in a discussion about alternative access points to the old lane, I just explained that the Walkham was one of my favourite rivers, which is true.
