Stepney is a fascinating part of Tower Hamlets. Stepney Green is an attractive approach to the old village heart of Stepney where can be found St Dunstan's Church, Stepney City Farm (formerly Stepping Stones Farm) and The Lady Jane Mico's Almshouses. The Stepney Green Conservation Area was designated in January 1973, covering the area previously known as Mile End Old Town - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stepney
