War memorial situated in the centre of the quad which forms the heart of the St John's School, Leatherhead, dedicated on 19 June 1920 to commemorate the 150 Old Johnians known to have been killed in the First World War. The roll of honour, later extended to cover the dead of the Second World War, was in the chapel, later moved to the new chapel built in 1962 and dedicated in 1963. The memorial and surrounds were restored in 2013. In the background is Gloucester House. Built in 1894 as "Block B", it was later called Churchill House which it remained until 2012 before being renamed following its conversion to a girls' house opened in 2013.
