This distinctly lop-sided building is occupied by Mark A Linley, a family-run jewellery business established in 1982. The jewellery is actually made in a workshop on the premises. Not a great deal is known about the history of the building but it is believed to date from the mid-16th century. It came into National Trust possession in the 1960s together with Greyfriars House immediately opposite.
