Church in the Church in Wales Diocese of Llandaff. Cadw records that the church was built in two stages - the nave in 1908, chancel and tower in 1915. Designed by Colonel E.M. Bruce Vaughan, a Cardiff architect. Grade II listed in 1995 as a notable example of large-scale late Gothic Revival church by a prominent local architect.
