Highest point of this prominent hill, shrouded in woodland. A faded blue plaque reads:- On 15th May 1429. The three weekly court of Blackburn Hundred was held on this hill. Here John Nowell paid homage for land he held in Great Harwood from Thomas Hesketh of Rufford.
