During the Second World War St Vincent's Hall was requisitioned by the RAF as No. 5 Bomber Group between October 1937 and November 1943 as operations Headquarters. In 1944 the building became headquarters for the USAAF's Ninth Air Force's IX Troop Carrier Command. It became surplus to requirements in 1964 as was sold to South Kesteven District for use as council offices. Today it is a private residence. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Vincents_Hall
